BMX-NY A RAP WITH SGL SISTAHS
- What, if any role, do SGL Brothas/Sistahs play in your life?
- Do you feel SGL Brothas/Sistahs respect you?
- How comfortable are you with SGL Brothers/Sistahs sexuality?
- Do we have a stake in challenging male supremacy and misogyny in our community?
- How can SGL men and women begin to forge alliances with each other?
LOCATION: 730 Riverside Drive [@ 150th Street], Suite 9E, Harlem, NY
TIME: 8:00PM - 11:00PM [Every Friday Night]
DIRECTIONS: Take the #1 train to 145th Street, or the M4 or M5 bus to 149th Street.
ABOUT BMX_NY: Black Men's Xchange-New York (BMX-NY) is a gathering for same gender loving (SGL) and bisexual Black men to powerfully and respectfully address issues that impact their lives, and to connect with one another in a positive, affirming, nurturing and transformational environment. Ages 18 and up.
MISSION: Founded as an instrument of healing and empowerment, the Black Men's Xchange-New York offers advocacy and affirmation. We celebrate the uniqueness and power of same gender loving African descended men; employing critical thinking, diversity and cultural affirmation while encouraging self-determination through self-identification.
